The Duke Blue Devils football team the university has been a source of pride for the division of athletics, as well as for students of Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. Although Duke? S football team was created back in 1895, was formally established only after the First World War when the Duke? s Board of Trustees voted to lift the ban of 25 years in football on campus. Since then, Duke Blue Devils made their presence strongly felt in the college football scene. In fact, the Duke? S football program has always been cited in recent years as one of the most successful of all programs college football. It has also been cited for 12 years as a leading graduate schools of lower rank than most of his football players, a feat Duke is also proud to have for their players in other sports.

The Blue Devils have been playing in Wallace Wade Stadium on the campus of Duke University from 1929. Once known as Duke Stadium, was renamed in 1967 after Wallace Wade, the legendary Hall of Fame and the Blue Devils team football coach who led the team to victory during his 1930-1950 tenure.

Milestones and Achievements

The Duke Blue Devils team football has won a total of 17 conference titles, 10 of which were won in the current Atlantic Coast Conference. (ACC) The team won its last title in 1989, putting Duke as 4 th among the 12 members of ACC teams with the highest number of championship titles.

That in addition to these championships, Duke has also seen 53 of his players in recent years to join the prestigious College Football All-America Team.

Under the direction of coach David Cutcliffe (who was the head coach of the Duke Blue Devils football team for one year) for the Blue Devils this season are competing for a shot, so least for a Bowl.
