Clubs White

Traditionally, a Yacht Club is focused on the accession of yacht owners, while a Sailing Club would be membership of the owners of small ships – such as boats. Some clubs also include owners of powerboats.

Members of the Club is a club run by the membership to promote sailboat racing and cruising, and provide a venue for the sailing community.

A Sailing Club is different from a yacht club where members mostly other people's sailboats at a much lower cost than owning a boat.

Membership is a mix of people that sailing crew, and boat owners. Members decide the objectives to meet the members and to attract other members.

Most clubs have races program and may include the races, ranging from informal local events to larger events nationwide. Often clubs have one night a week racing schedule and racing weekend. Many yacht clubs with teams competing against other clubs in the race team.

There are also some model ships and specific lengths which have their own club. These clubs are owned ship uniquely designed to hold races for its members.

Clubs with sailing programs for adults often will offer junior sailing programs as well, for children aged 8 and 16. These junior sailing programs often also teach children rowing, canoeing, general seamanship and navigation.

The Commerce Club is owned by individuals or an organization to provide service and generate revenue. They are often associated with a particular marina or port.

Yacht Clubs in the UK

Hamble River Sailing Club – Hamble River Sailing Club is located in the west bank of the Hamble River, upstream from Hamble Point Marina and downstream of the public pier. The club has changing rooms, catering facilities, a bar and a success story regional, national and Olympic.

The Royal Burnham Yacht Club – founded in 1895 and receiving Royal Patronage in December 1927, the Royal Burnham Yacht Club is at the heart of sailing and related activities on the River Crouch.

Neagh Antrim Boat Club – Located on the sheltered north coast east of Lough Neagh Antrim Boat Club is located in a wooded area a short walk along the beach of Shanes Castle. Most events take place in Antrim Bay providing a safety zone of about six square miles, while at any time, never out of sight of land.

Avon Sailing Club – Founder and current members are proud and passionate Sailing School in Avon, which was founded over half a century ago, such was the enthusiasm that there is a club retained the name when he moved from the river for the River Avon Severn in the 1960s.

Tynemouth Sailing Club – Since 1880, members have sailed and raced many different types of boat on the river Tyne and the North Sea, evolving to the present. They have a proud heritage, having produced world champion sailors, national and world championships stages, and also WLYC won the 24-hour race in 1981.

Tynemouth Sailing Club is situated on the north side of the entrance to the River Tyne, in the shadow of Tynemouth Priory.

Perth Yacht Club – Perth Sailing Club offers a friendly atmosphere the club about 10 minutes drive from the Queens Bridge in Perth. From April to October, tides permitting, which oversees weekends and some evenings. From the office / house on the water in less than 40 minutes is quite feasible.

Merthyr Tydfil – Yacht Club We are a friendly club Dinghy sailing with one of the most attractive of all the UK based on the large reservoir Pontsticill in the Brecon Beacons National Park. With this location, although not members the candle of your family can enjoy a beautiful day outside, with a stroll around the lake or the mountain, just enjoy the views.
