Iron Cover

Chandeliers can add beauty and serve as the focal point in many rooms. It can also be an eyesore, especially when they are dirty. When an iron forged or any other style lamp begins to lose its luster can be restored. In many cases, all you need is a good cleaning. Cleaning wrought iron light lamps is particularly difficult due to the intricate designs.

Tools & Equipment

1. Two or three basins (depending on size the spider and how dirty it is)

2. Dishwashing liquid (or commercially sold cleaning agent)

3. Glass cleaning fluid

4. Soft, nonabrasive washrags

5. Rubber gloves

6. Step ladder to get to the spider, especially important to clean the structure and arms

7. Large towel or sheet (depending on the size of the chandelier) to catch any drips when cleaning the sections on the roof. If you have a piece large plastic by hand, you can place on the floor and place the towel or blanket over him. If you fear that some of the crystals may fall, sometimes towels and place around the base of the ladder to secure the cushion in case.

The process of

1. Never work on anything with an electric current without disconnecting first. The best option for a chandelier is off the switch.

Note: In case you can not remove the chandelier cleaning as described above, you can still to wet cleaning. However, you will need to cover all the bulbs in plastic, such as sandwich bags to protect them. Make a solution of water distilled ammonia and spray onto the glass. Let drain into the protective cover on the ground. Rinse by spraying with distilled water to avoid leaving marks water.
