Modern guitar players face a different set of problems than their counterparts in classical guitar playing. When a classical guitarist is a piece of music being made of written music … the ideas of another person frozen in time and place on paper.
This places the classical guitar a safe place to criticize someone play the guitar with his security could blame on the composer … after everything I wrote!
In contrast with guitarist today has to face possible criticism from their own original ideas and how they technically carry out their music. It is useless try to blame Bach, Mozart or Beethoven … that is his own music, so this time it's personal.
Here's what you do not want to happen …
1. You do not want any impediment in his technique … when it comes to art you want to make 100% reliable.
2. You do not want to be thinking in theoretical [data] of the information, you have to "own" that things … everything has to be on autopilot, you need to be concentrated and react to music, musicians and audience.
3. You do not want your ideas get stuck in your wrist, you need to be able to project their ideas through their listening instrument effortlessly.
What to do instead …
The often quoted "practice makes perfect" the sentence is only partly true, it is true that practice makes perfect … you can get really good in practice of errors if you're not careful!
To be successful in the guitar we have to make an important distinction … "Perfect practice makes perfect".
Undoubtedly one of the main obstacles to successful performance is poor cooperation musical left hand coordination, in particular the third and four fingers.
Here's an exercise really good to get these two fingers lazy to work for you.
Step 1: Start with your third finger behind the third fret, first string and her four fingers behind the fourth fret, second string.
Important: Be sure to get two fingers on the strings at the same time, not two separate movements.
Step 2: fold your fingers around the other way which will, in his third finger behind the third fret on the second string and the fourth finger behind the fourth fret, first string.
Step 3: this time we will return to our original form only jump the second string.
Third finger behind the third fret on the first string, fourth finger behind the fourth fret, third string.
Step 4: time to turn our way back, the third finger behind the third fret third string and the fourth finger behind the fourth fret first string.
Keep doing this exercise gradually widening the gap until you can string reach right up to the sixth string.
Tip: Practice slowly, always remember Speed is a byproduct of precision.
Another suggestion: use your right hand fingers for this exercise is not a peak, fighting for the equal balance of the two notes … want to mix.
This exercise is not intended for musical sound, is an intensive isometric exercise designed to increase strength left hand and coordination for you can play your music effortlessly.
I invite you to use these tips and tools when you play the guitar.
