Achieving your potential in any sport requires talent, commitment and dedication. You may think countries like Australia and the U.S. lead the world in sports but in Europe there are now some of the best sports training centers in the world dedicated. The Southern European countries such as Spain, France and Italy, with ideal locations for these facilities, as do benefit from a mild winter climate while being at a convenient distance to travel in most European countries. The Canary Islands, Spain, are at the southernmost tip of Europe on the Atlantic Ocean. The climate is always pleasant, never experiencing the coldest weather, and low levels of rain, and even in the summer months, remaining relatively cool compared to some areas of continental Europe. Because the islands are now a popular tourist destination, there are frequent flights to Tenerife, Lanzarote, Gran Canaria and many other countries, making very accessible islands. Air fares to the Canary Islands during the months of January, February and March are very reasonable and offer a low cost way to escape the weather harder the northernmost regions of Europe.

Turning on the island of Lanzarote is the long-established Sports Resort Club La Santa, which is opened in 1983 and welcomes sports fans across Europe. The club offers training services in the year and has a 50-meter outdoor swimming pool free, six-lane tartan running track and large areas of health, interior providing Cybex Nautilus, and the team Tetrix. Every day the center offers organized events such as racing group mountain biking, aerobics and other training groups.

Tenerife, one of the other larger islands in the Canaries, is home to a very new center, located near the southern village of La Caleta. Tenerife Top Training, or T3, as is more likely to be known, is a brand new high-tech training center sports which opened in October 2008. It has 3 swimming pools, 50m and 25m outdoor pools, plus an indoor therapy to improve the technique with the flow of water facilities. Fisio pool and training rooms to complement the outdoor tennis courts and soccer fields. Nearby is a luxury hotel offers quality accommodation class, though visitors may choose to rent one of the many villages near the complex. Reina Sofia International Airport is close to secure transfers very short time for visitors.

On the island of Cyprus, which is accessible by flying into the nearby and newly renovated airport in Paphos, Coral Sports Complex Bay offers fantastic facilities. If a flight to Cyprus is a bit too far for you, then you can opt for a short flight to Majorca, the largest of the Balearic Islands, where a wide range of excellent facilities sports training. The Son Hugo pool complex provides two 50m 10 lane pools, one indoor and one outdoor. Also in Mallorca is the center Megasport Fitness located near the capital Palma and its international airport. The center provides a range of indoor and outdoor sports areas and is located near the velodrome and international football stadium.

Thus, for both professional and amateur athletes alike, a trip to a center of warm weather sports training provide an excellent start to the season ahead. With cheap flights provided by a number of companies to nearby airports, travel costs are not needed too well.
