With the parts cleaning technology increasing, manufacturers are willing to make use of advanced capabilities, in part, the cleaning process systems can now offer. Cleaning specifications of these parts are now more stringent and demanding than ever. The logic behind the more stringent specifications for cleaning is the sound on the surface. If the specifications are more stringent, the parties will be cleaner, and the final product will go more smoothly. However, this is not necessarily correct. A cleaning specification may be too tight and move into the realm of reality. An unrealistic specifications may never meet adequately, and time, resources and money is lost trying to reach him. The unrealistic specification becomes a burden to everyone involved in the project, but fortunately, can be avoided with proper planning.
To design a cleaning specification realistic, several factors must be taken into account. Piece of material, type of contamination to be cleaned, the failure mode known of the part, and the cleaning process in general are important when preparing a realistic, specification possible.
Piece of material is an important factor in how a party can be cleaned. Some materials naturally occurring particles, and if the specification does not take account would be impossible to meet the specification. For example, cast aluminum is a popular material for parts in the automotive industry. Due to a variety factors in the production process, and due to the nature of the aluminum smelter, the parties will shed, or generate particles, once they have occurred. These small aluminum particles are impossible to remove. If a specification of the calls of these particles to be removed, it will be virtually impossible respond appropriately to it.
The knowledge of the type of pollutant per share is vital. A manufacturer may limit the size of the particles of specific material and overlook other material. This brings us to the test by their known failure mode. Before concluding any specification, the part must be tested to failure. A collector automobile exhaust need not be as clean as a surgical tool. A specification should not be set only within the failure mode, a certain amount buffer and leeway is acceptable. However, designers need to take into account the diminishing returns of cleaning after a certain point. The cost Cleaning increasing is not linear but is exponential. If the part played admirably with 1 mg of contaminants by no particles larger than 120 microns, no no plausible reason to require a cleaning specification that requires less than .2 mg without polluting particles larger than 50 microns. Finally, the cleaning specification to examine the process manufacturing and the environment. Parties have been laboratory tested in laboratory conditions. The result is very accurate tests, but not repeatable in normal factory. The laboratory test is essential for the design of the specification and should not be ignored, but consider real world conditions in the application of results. The parts manufacturers that have a laboratory test cleaning parties with experience can avoid many of the obstacles trying to achieve a cleaning specification. Using an experienced laboratory, the manufacturer can use that experience to offer suggestions and recommendations on the best way to attack an order. In this scenario, the manufacturer and developer of cleaning processes can work together to develop a specification that addresses key issues affecting the party and is practical. The cooperation between the two resulted in improved cleaning process more efficient and the best quality possible.
